Well, that may be an over-reaction... but if you've noticed I've been quiet on the live music, live streaming and the social front lately, it's because I've been suffering from a serious bout of pneumonia. Doc says I should have been hospitalised... I'm thinking that means it was quite more serious than I thought it was.
I feel like it started back around NYE, and finally came to a full blown, knock me down and call me Betty White pneumonia late January and only now, at the start of March am I starting to feel almost human again.
A big thank you to Angela, my partner for being a wonderful support and taking care of me during my NON-COVID (yes I was tested and results came back negative) illness.
Luckily now, I'm almost back to normal - albeit some recovery left to go. The lungs really took a beating and as a singer, this is a very scary thing!
This brings me to the thoughts on health and taking care of oneself - prevention is MUCH better than cure. BUT when you do need a cure, preventative meds don't really work, so smash the cures and fix the problem ASAP.
Seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, music is still my passion and my saviour and I feel extremely lucky to be able to do this as a living!
I've been busy though - Check out the new format and gig guide at www.chrisrulewski.com and come and catch some gigs with me? I hope to catch up with you soon!
PS - ever had a ballerina at a kid's party? You GOTTA check our @pistachioentertainment (instagram). Here's a pic of a client's party as guests were just arriving
